Nothing
can be quite as exhilarating as seeing
and hearing Niagara Falls for the first
time. However, Niagara is as old as eternity,
yet changeless as time.
The waters of Niagara continue
to flow as they have for thousands of
years and are still the “star”
attraction, but there are lots of attractions
and events that take “second billings”.
Ontario’s Niagara
Parks, which surrounds the falls and river,
is one of the major catalysts that attract
14 to 15 million people all year long
.There meticulously groomed lawns and
flowerbeds, are tended by employees with
loving hands.
Just above the falls (about 500 metres,
one-quarter mile) is another horticulture
highlight, the Niagara Parks Greenhouse
.Admission is free.
Go to the edge of the Canadian Horseshoe
Falls at the Table Rock area to be mesmerized
by the majestic waterfall. You can even
take a trip by elevator to the base of
the falls (The Journey Behind the Falls)
and walk through tunnels that pass behind
the falls! The memories will last a lifetime.
When you’ve had your fill of the
falls there are still lots to do. At night
you can see the waterfalls illuminated
in the colours of the rainbow.
The list of things to see and do in Niagara
almost appears endless. Here is just a
bit of that list; the Butterfly Conservatory,
the Maid of the Mist, the casino, the
Niagara Parks Botanical Gardens, Clifton
Hill attractions, the picnicking areas
etc.
Niagara Falls is a year round
attraction for all members of the family
and a “Trip2 Niagara” is a
sure way to experience Niagara at its
best.
